Confirmed facts

These points are supported by attributable manufacturer or corporate source material.

A separate model above G9

XPENG positions G9L above G9 and says both will be offered alongside one another. The L stands for Luxury; G9L therefore has its own stable model identity.

Selected European sales launched

XPENG opened orders in Germany and other selected continental-European markets on 12 October 2026. The German range starts at €74,600 and first deliveries there are stated for December 2026. These are not UK prices or delivery commitments.

Six- and seven-seat European layouts

XPENG's continental-European product information offers six- and seven-seat layouts. Final UK seating, grades and configuration availability remain unconfirmed.

European battery electric launch range

The selected-market launch covers a 367 PS rear-wheel-drive version and 585 PS all-wheel-drive versions with a stated 110 kWh NCM battery. The separate range-extender programme must not inherit battery electric specifications or eligibility.

European production programme

XPENG completed its first G9L production trial at Magna in Graz before the Paris launch. Selected-market customer deliveries are planned from December 2026; no UK allocation is established.

Global dimensions reference

XPENG gives a length of 5,120 mm and a wheelbase of 3,100 mm. Final UK homologation, width with mirrors, payload, towing and luggage measurement basis remain unverified.

Provisional information

Manufacturer targets and early specifications may change. Check the final UK version before comparing costs or capability.

Provisional continental-European range and charging

The German launch quotes up to 591 km WLTP for rear-wheel drive and 553 km for all-wheel drive, 540 kW peak DC charging and a 12-minute 10 to 80% target. These figures are preliminary, market-specific and subject to conditions and final homologation.

Market-specific European prices

Germany lists €74,600, €81,600 and €84,600 versions; France publishes its own prices and configurations. Currency conversion does not establish a UK OTR price, P11D value or salary sacrifice quotation.

Manufacturer chassis and safety claims

XPENG describes dual-chamber air suspension, variable damping and rear-wheel steering, and says development targeted major five-star protocols. These are manufacturer claims, not final UK equipment or independently awarded ratings.

Right-hand-drive production reporting

CnEVPost reported right-hand-drive production for Australia. That supports an export programme but does not establish a UK launch or allocation.

What is not confirmed yet?

  • UK launch commitment, order opening, allocation, first deliveries and provider availability
  • UK list and on-the-road prices, P11D values, insurance groups and lease quotations
  • UK powertrains, seating layouts, grades, payload, towing limits and luggage measurement basis
  • Final UK usable battery capacity, certified WLTP range, power, charging conditions and homologation
  • UK colours, upholstery, wheels, options, warranty, servicing and repair arrangements
  • UK range-extender availability and certified CO₂ emissions; no eligibility inferred
  • Independently awarded safety ratings and final UK driver-assistance functionality

How should you use this information?

Consider your replacement date, everyday journeys, and the choices your employer’s programme supports.

Confirm the seating layout

If you need more than five seats, wait for the exact UK version. Check third-row access, child-seat mounting points, and luggage space with every required seat occupied.

Check parking and charging access

A vehicle over five metres long warrants a practical check of your parking bay, garage, and workplace charging spaces. Confirm dimensions with mirrors and doors open before committing.

Keep propulsion choices distinct

Ask the provider to identify the battery electric car explicitly. A range-extender needs its own emissions and employer-policy assessment, so it should not inherit assumptions made for the electric version.

Plan around a firm UK quotation

A motor-show reveal is not a delivery commitment. We can help employers compare provider support, servicing, replacement-car arrangements, and the complete quotation once UK orders and pricing are established.
