Bentley's launch material confirms two versions: the core Torcal and the more sporting Torcal S. Independent launch-day UK reporting corroborates a £173,300 starting price for the core car. WIRED separately reports £199,300 for the launch First Edition S; that S price remains qualified until Bentley exposes its UK derivative price list.

Core Torcal: 821 PS and 1,155 Nm

Bentley's live Torcal model page lists 821 PS / 604 kW and 1,155 Nm, with 0–60 mph in 3.3 seconds, 0–100 km/h in 3.4 seconds and a 155 mph (250 km/h) top speed. The page's narrative renders the imperial output as 809 bhp, while another Bentley specification rendering rounds it to 810 bhp; the manufacturer-native PS/kW figure is therefore used as the stable reference.

Torcal S: 888 PS and 1,350 Nm

With Launch Control active, Torcal S develops 888 PS (about 876 bhp) and 1,350 Nm. Bentley states 0–60 mph in 2.8 seconds, 0–100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and a 162 mph (260 km/h) top speed.

113.2 kWh battery capacity and 800 V architecture

Bentley's live model specification lists battery capacity as 113.2 kWh. The launch technical material describes an 800 V architecture with 192 lithium-ion pouch cells in series and a 10-year, 100,000-mile battery warranty. Bentley's live model page does not label the 113.2 kWh figure as gross or usable, so the catalogue does not infer that distinction.

Dual-motor all-wheel drive

Torcal uses one permanent-magnet synchronous motor on each axle. The front motor uses an open differential; the rear motor has a locking differential with a multi-plate clutch on each output shaft.

Bentley's live range and charging specification

Bentley's live model pages list a 16-minute 10–80% DC charging time and a maximum range of 373 miles / 600 km. The narrative also describes up to 375 miles and more than 150 miles added in 10 minutes at a 350 kW charger, while the specification table lists 222 miles / 357 km replenished in 10 minutes with maximum DC charging power. EU27 electricity consumption and range remain pending type approval, so these internal Bentley presentation differences are preserved rather than collapsed into a single homologated value.

Five seats, 460-litre boot and 90-litre front storage

The production cabin uses two front seats and a three-occupant rear bench. Bentley's launch material states 460 litres of rear luggage capacity, while the live model specification confirms a 90-litre front storage compartment.

Production dimensions, weight, payload and towing

Bentley's live model specification lists 5,008 mm overall length, 2,198 mm width across mirrors, 2,025 mm width with mirrors folded, 1,677 mm height and a 3,023 mm wheelbase. It also lists 2,795 kg unladen weight, 535 kg maximum payload and 2,700 kg maximum braked towing load.

Fully active chassis, rear-wheel steering and 11.0 m turning circle

Bentley Active Ride uses a two-valve shock absorber at each wheel with electrically controlled hydraulic actuation. All-wheel steering is standard; the live model specification gives an 11.0-metre turning circle.

21-inch Core wheels; 22-inch S wheels

Five wheel designs are offered at launch. The core model has 21-inch wheels as standard, while Torcal S receives a ten-twin-spoke 22-inch design. Three further 22-inch designs are optional, including an aerodynamically focused wheel.

Core and S have distinct design specifications

Core Torcal uses satin-silver brightware, a single-tone colour split and Open Pore Crown Cut Walnut. Torcal S adds black brightware and mirror caps, dark rear lamps, a rear diffuser, sports sills and bumper strakes, red brake calipers, S badging, a dedicated colour split and quilting, sports pedals, Piano Black veneer, illuminated treadplates and dynamic waterfall mood lighting.

16-way heated, ventilated and massaging front seats

Standard front seats provide 16-way adjustment, heating, ventilation, adjustable bolsters and massage. Postural Adjust, Smart Seat Climate and an extended Wellness Seat Specification are available as further comfort features.

Bentley Dynamic Symphony and two audio systems

Torcal's driver-responsive propulsion sound is built from recordings of real instruments rather than a replayed engine. The standard audio system has 620 W and 16 speakers; an optional Naim system provides 1,780 W, 28 speakers, kinaesthetic seat shakers, headrest speakers and Dolby Atmos 7.1.

Merino wool and new finishes

Bentley and Somerset cloth maker Fox Brothers developed a 100% merino wool automotive fabric certified to the Responsible Wool Standard. Torcal also introduces Ombré Walnut by Mulliner and Sunburst Aluminium by Mulliner, alongside a wider palette of leather, Dinamica, veneer and Piano finishes.

Designed, engineered and built in Crewe

Bentley says Torcal was designed, engineered and will be built at its Crewe headquarters, supported by suppliers across the UK.

The story behind the name

Torcal takes its name from El Torcal de Antequera in Andalusia, Spain. Bentley links the landscape's limestone formations and the idea of twisting forces to the torque associated with its cars.

First Edition S price and configurator status

WIRED reports £199,300 for the launch First Edition S. Bentley's new UK Torcal range page now exposes separate Torcal and Torcal S model pages plus a 'Create your own' call to action, but the public configurator shell still does not provide inspectable derivative option pricing or P11D data in the evidence reviewed. Do not treat £199,300 as the eventual standard-S price or a completed salary-sacrifice configuration.

Range and charging remain pre-type-approval

Bentley's live model pages now publish 373 miles / 600 km in the specification table, while narrative copy says up to 375 miles. They also show a 16-minute 10–80% DC charge time, but differ on 10-minute replenishment wording. Treat 375 miles as a manufacturer launch figure for now

Bentley's stated 375-mile maximum and 400 kW charging capability are strong long-distance figures, but the UK site still flags range and consumption as pending type approval. Final derivative homologation should take precedence.

Check the production car's packaging and charging setup
