smart completed the #2 world premiere on 12 October 2026. It is a fully electric two-seater built on the Electric Compact Architecture, not the earlier concept car.
Two seats and city-car format
smart confirms two seats, rear-wheel drive and an ultra-compact body. Final UK homologation remains outstanding.
Sales planned for 2027
smart UK says sales are planned for 2027. A sales year does not establish a UK order-book opening or individual delivery date.

smart UK lists a 60 kW rear motor, 130 Nm, a 35.8 kWh lithium-iron-phosphate battery and a target range of up to 180 miles WLTP. It also lists 65 kW DC charging, a 10 to 80% target of no more than 20 minutes and 7.4 or 11 kW AC charging. All remain preliminary and subject to final homologation.
