Confirmed facts

These points are supported by attributable manufacturer or corporate source material.

A future UT family version

AION UK presents UT Cross as a version of the existing UT. This page therefore keeps it beneath the current UT family rather than creating a second model identity.

UK launch plan

AION UK unveiled UT Cross at the Paris Motor Show on 12 October 2026 and says the UK launch is planned for early 2027. An order opening and individual delivery commitment have not been published.

Raised crossover treatment

The UK announcement describes a 20 mm increase in ride height, 225 mm tyres, roof rails, protective lower-body trim and a distinct wheel design.

Shared cabin and motor

AION UK says UT Cross uses the same 204 PS powertrain and interior as the UT, with a 440-litre boot, heat pump and heated steering wheel. The announcement prints the battery as 60 kW, so this page does not reinterpret that unit as a verified capacity.

Provisional information

Manufacturer targets and early specifications may change. Check the final UK version before comparing costs or capability.

European range and charging reference

GAC's European launch material quotes about 400 km WLTP and 30–80% charging in 24 minutes. These are not treated as final UK configuration figures and depend on the production battery and charging conditions.

What is not confirmed yet?

  • Final UK battery capacity, certified range, energy consumption and charging limits
  • UK order opening, production allocation and first customer deliveries
  • UK list and on-the-road prices, configured P11D values and insurance groups
  • Final UK equipment, colours, wheels, options, seating, payload and towing limits
  • Provider quotations, employer acceptance and salary sacrifice availability

How should you use this information?

Consider your replacement date, everyday journeys, and the choices your employer’s programme supports.

Keep it within the UT family

Compare Cross with the current UT as a future body and equipment version, not as a separate model family. Do not transfer the current UT's price or range to this car.

Check the practical differences

The raised ride height, wider tyres and roof rails may suit different journeys, but verify parking dimensions, rear access and the production boot layout in the UK car.

Wait for a configured quotation

A reliable salary sacrifice comparison needs the final UK car, configured P11D value, delivery timing and a dated employer-provider quotation.
